Two EOP Students from Hudson Valley Community College attended the Somos El Futuro Conference in Puerto Rico from Nov. 3 to 7. Astrid Dimas-Fuentes and Stefan Warner were invited guests of Chancellor Malatras. This years theme, “SOMOS la Recuperación” (We Are the Recovery), focused on the ongoing crisis that Puerto Rico is facing and serves as a call to action and a reminder of the need to remain united. The students engaged in service-related activities and participated in dialogues to help shape the priorities for public policy, civic participation, and community engagement.
